Administrative Officers:
Joe Fox Sr. is the Fire Academy Coordinator.
Chief Fox is a 30-year veteran of the fire service serving in Washington Borough. Currently serving as the only full-time Academy member, he oversees all Academy operations and acts as chief liaison between the Fire Academy and the Public Safety Department as well as Warren County Community College.

John Lefler is a Level II instructor and a Deputy Coordinator.
A 53-year veteran of the fire service, he still serves as a Battalion Chief in Phillipsburg. Along with his administrative duties at the Academy he also manages our maintenance programs and serves as Safety Officer.

Operations Officers:
Robert Griffith is a Level II instructor and Senior Operations Officer.
A 39-year veteran of the fire service and Past-Chief of the Tri-County Fire Company in Mansfield Township, he still responds to emergency calls with Tri-County and serves as a deputy mutual aid coordinator for Warren County. Bob excels in all instructional Firefighter-I & II subjects. He is the lead instructor for our flashover / fire behavior simulator and our basic pump operations class.

Brian Kostenbader is a Level II instructor and Operations Officer.
Brian joined the fire service in 2007 with the Independence Fire Department. A 2008 graduate of the Warren County Fire Academy, he currently serves as Chief and Treasurer of the Tri-County Fire Company in Mansfield Township and as Mansfield's Emergency Management Coordinator. Chief Kostenbader is our lead instructor for Vehicle Extrication and forcible entry classes as well as our outreach instructor. Brian also volunteers with Independence First Aid Squad holding the National Registry EMT as well as the NJ State EMT and is currently serving as their Lieutenant.

Terry Lawler is a Level II instructor and Operations Officer.
Terry is a 33-year veteran of the fire service. He is a Past Chief of the New Milford Fire Department and current member of the Lopatcong Fire Department. He joined the Fire Academy in 2016. His 29-year career with law enforcement along with his experience as a member of the arson task force provides a wider perspective of the emergency services to our students.
Eric Weber is a Level II instructor and Operations Officer
A 21-year veteran of the fire service, Past-Chief and active member of Knowlton Township Fire & Rescue Company No. 1 Eric is a 2003 graduate from the
Warren County Fire Academy. Eric is also an Assistant Division Forest Firewarden with the New Jersey Forest Fire Service and along with in-State wildfire response, Eric has responded to wildfires all over the Country. Eric excels in all instructional Firefighter-I & II subjects. He is also a lead instructor for Incident Command (ICS) and Incident Management Courses.
